Today the prosecutor asked a witness [Gill] if the dead homeless guy "do anything that you perceived as threatening?"

"No," Gill said.

Another witness said about the cop, ""I was shocked and surprised. He seemed more aggressive than I was expecting,"

With all that said, I won't be surprised if the cop walks; that's what happens in this country. If he does, we'll have a bunch of native americans rioting in the street (I just hope they don't close the casinos).

I found this quote to be interesting :

Quote:
Birk said Williams was "oblivious" and showed "complete disregard" to the fact that he was crossing the intersection in front of the officer's patrol car.

When I first looked at the video I had no knowledge of this case, but I immediately
thought the cop seemed pissed because the guy "J-walked" right in front of the cop
car. So I looked closer at the video and the traffic light is red and usually that
means the guy could cross the street without j-walking.

That hit me right away, so to see the cop admit that is like WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess I thought that right away because that happened to me in Los Angeles.
I was walking and didn't even see a police car. I just didn't notice it.

The main thing the cops said to me when they stopped me was :
"you saw us there and still you have the balls to j-walk? ".

Of course they didn't believe I didn't see them and therefore talked major shit to me.
One cop offered to rip my balls off.

It wasn't about j-walking to the cops; it was about them perceiving me to be
defiant or acting above the law...(fill in typical pompous ass cop cliches here )...etc...

They were wrong about me "disrespecting" them, but they will never know it.

They made up their minds before they got out of the car and that was all it was
going to be.

Looks like that happened in this case for sure.

The cop in this case got mad because the Native guy walked right by him and didn't
give a shit that the cop was there. And the native guy should have done just that in
reality. I mean, why notice a police car and change your behavior if you are not doing
anything illegal??
