no its not the same argument because we are not talking about WMDs we are talking about guns. With your same argument fat people shouldnt eat fast food so ban it all also because some people use it as a "death" tool. it makes no sense and anything can be compared in a negative fashion.
i think society should look at itself why it feels it needs to arm itself to protect itself from "eachother". There lies your issue in America.
