I received an email from a surfer at 5:19pm saying he couldn't log in with his trial membership, and was asking for a refund. I got an email from Zombaio Support at 5:59pm saying "we're currently experiencing some disturbance in the service (lags). Technicians are working on replacement of hardware, which should be done within a couple of hours.

The service should go as normal most of the time but there can be some lags during the day."

Do these events seem related? I told the customer the card was likely declined, because I never got a join confirmation. But now that I've received the maintenance advisory, I'm thinking there might be something else going on.

Any ideas?
