It's not "inside the asshole". That's just one way to get to the prostate and touch it. Sure, when the doctor wants to check the size, he sticks his finger in your ass. When a guy has prostate surgery, the doctor goes through the front of the lower abdomen (retropubic and laparoscopic technique) or between your balls and ass (perineal technique). Never through your asshole.
