if the old guy ever gave the girl a gift (compensation) it's illegal. Prostitution is illegal till you are 18.
I doubt the guy will do more than 2 years in an open prison in germany, with a good lawyer he should be able to walk or do max 4-6 months.
My daughter is 4 so it's easy for me to say I'd do the same without doubts, in 13 years when she is turns 17 I may have a different view on it (but I doubt it as she's not allowed to date till she turns 30)
