It used to be that for payment issues the bad programs would ignore you if you mentioned "payments" in your initial message. This way you verify that someone is definitely getting your messages and you can't be blown off or delayed as easily without knowing something is up. I imagine for some it can become a bad habit. 90% of the time when I contact a program on ICQ it is for a payment related issue.
