And I have a hard time with everything getting shoved thru during a lame duck session.
About 6 weeks after the vote in July it did pass the house. The senate, for whatever reason has been dragging its feet on it. The democrats are pushing it now for two reasons. 1. they fear if they don't it won't get through later when there are more republicans in the senate and 2. they want to look good.

I question why the insurance for these people is not paying up and why 9 years later this is still an issue. It should have been taken care of. Our president has been too busy passing healthcare reform that over 200 companies and unions has got wavers from.
As has been stated several times, many of these people no longer have health insurance. Because of their health problems they have lost their jobs or they were denied workman's comp because they were unable to prove beyond a shadow of doubt that their illness is 9/11 related. So they have no health insurance to pay for this.

You can hammer Obama all you want for ignoring them and it is a legit argument, but, as you say, this has been going on for 9 years. 7 of them were Bush's years and he didn't do jack shit for them either.

Just like Gitmo, why do we still have prisoners that have not gone to trial?
I agree on this one, but it has nothing to do with the 9/11 healthcare bill.
