But he needs to learn how to use Photoshop, Dreamweaver etc.
Sure you can learn this from a book, but a class will sort of force you to do it, and you also have someone to ask for help when you are stuck.
Everyone is as gifted as AMP with design. Though I don't think he designs anymore.
