Although I am a strong supporter of Wikileaks and have in the past few weeks supported Assanga over what I thought might be a setup, Im now having a change of feelings on Assange, though still a supporter of Wikileaks. The Guardian has got hold of some of the police files on the case and it makes for an interesting read. One of the things that struck me is that the main basis of why the women went to the police after they discovered he was sleeping around was his refusal to take an STD/HIV test. Now although there is no law against this, I honestly cannot understand why any man who has been sleeping around would refuse to take such a test. That shows me something negative about the guy and it should be noted the police are in possession of SMS and phone records to verify this as well as third party corroboration.
It is also interesting to note that Assange said, The Swedish tabloid Aftonbladet asked if he had had sex with his two accusers. He said: "Their identities have been made anonymous so even I have no idea who they are. This implies he must have been having sex with a lot more women, another reason why he should have been tested.

Police spoke to Miss W's ex-boyfriend, who told them that in two and a half years they had never had sex without a condom because it was "unthinkable" for her. Miss W told police she went to a chemist to buy a morning-after pill and also went to hospital to be tested for STDs. Police statements record her contacting Assange to ask him to get a test and his refusing on the grounds that he did not have the time.....http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2010...assange-sweden
