pet sounds is a master piece of an album... it's not as immediate as other beachboys stuff, and isn't as fun.. but it's still brian at the height of his powers and teetering on the edge of his descent into drug fuelled insanity.
but i do agree that without god only knows and good vibrations the album would be far, far less significant.
