I can't look into Amp's mind, but isn't it possible that he doesn't have a problem with authority but with blind obedience? because that is what we are heading for; we are constantly being 'encouraged' to question the motives/intentions of our peers, but questioning the intentions or effectiveness of those who are supposed to protect and serve us is a big no no.
