It's even more uncool of him to slip out the backdoor just as his company stops sending checks to many of their affiliates.
It's even more uncool for him to just ignore everyone that has contacted him directly about their missing checks.
If he had acknowledged that business has been declining and told everyone he plans to retire from adult and pursue other ventures, but made it clear that CyberAge would continue to send checks as long as they keep billing members even though that meant they would have to dramatically cut their own corporate overhead (layoffs, downsizing) then I would totally respect the guy and wish him well. CyberAge would always have been remembered as one of the good guys in this industry. He did not handle it that way though and here we are...
