You and I are in agreement about that. But at this point I'm willing to concede my "right wing" views in support of this. The fact is our economy sadly depends on consumer spending and we're not creating any new sustainable jobs and won't be for a long time so for those actively looking for work, they have to feed their families somehow.

To me, capital investments are more important than consumer spending so this is an absolute must.

They don't need to control the Senate. It's what, 51-48 with a few of those Democrats siding with the Republicans? The Republicans might as well be controlling them both.
