Neither the scanners nor the pat downs will stop the determined terrorist. All they need to do is put up the explosives in their ass, or pussy, and it will not be found.
Or they hide it under their skin, by undergoing illegal surgery. Terrorists and drug smugglers have already done this with innocent looking puppies.
Those security checkpoints don't stop terror - only violate upon people's freedoms.
