So as you sit around the table gluttonously stuffing your faces please keep in mind what this day is really about - the REAL Americans helped so many Pale Faces survive the cold winters by feeding us and giving us shelter and teaching us how to live off the land - when otherwise our ancestors would have starved and frozen stiff as popsicles.

Boy did we thank them alright "Thanks Indians! Now have some nice GENOCIDE"
Goddamn it, Slut, we are in agreement on this one! Has Hell frozen over?

My neighbors, who are Potowatomies, call Thanksgiving an "Indian Sex Day".

When I asked them what they meant, the reply was, "You know; just another FUCKING DAY!" I'll be going over to their place today as they have sort of an anti-Thanksgiving party. Roast pig, beef, bison, lots of Native American dishes, lots of Fire Water of various kinds and the White Man burnt in effigy.

Seriously! They actually do this but will not allow pics to go public.

Much of the "genocide" was accidental, though as the indigenous American peoples had no resistance to many European disease and had already suffered huge die-offs from other diseases and the effects of the warming period which preceeded the Little Ice Age.

It was really some time after the whole Jamestown/Plymouth/Pilgrims thing that the intententional genocide began on a larger scale. Remember also, that the Pilgrims allied with various tribes because those tribes thought that such alliances would help protect them against the constant ongoing inter-tribal warfare.
