they were pretty pricey, I remember them around $1500 to $2500 each, however on Thomas Kinkades website they are a fraction so makes me wonder if they are the same.

He is well known for the type of artwork you are describing, and the price point you mention suggest it's him. His originals are pricey. The website looks like it has prints for far less money however. It's funny, at first glance the paintings look fairly generic until you start to appreciate the "lighting" effect he is able to accomplish. He is one of the best if not THE best with that style of painting.
