I hope you get to read this before you leave for whatever it is you REALLY do for a living.
Your analogy is a silly one and that kind of thinking is why you ARE on your way to work doing something other than this.
Here is what you're really doing.
You get hired to work as a roofer.
you show up on day one with no tools and demand I supply them even though you have zero experience as a roofer you demand tools you don't even know how to properly use.
Then you start demanding tools that you'll never even use as a roofer.
as the day goes on, you constantly ask me the most simple questions about how to do your job, interfering with MY work and accomplishing nothing on your own. At the end of the day, you demand that I start supplying you with a truck or you'll take all of your new tools and go work for someone else.
Smart roofers now don't bother to hire you unless you bring your own tools and show you have a clue about what you're doing.
you see son, you were right when you told Steve times are changing. You just don't realize that they are changing for you, not us. affiliates are getting smarter and the dumb ones are getting squeezed out. When there where a bunch of dumb program owners, there was a small window of time where they all chased after dumb affiliates who wanted to be spoon fed.
Those days are over. adapt or die.
