Hey Sharky,

That's been my hunch all along...

I tell plenty of people they should set up an API on their tube join form or in a number of other places and usually they'll respond with "thanks, great idea!" and I send them the API and nothing ever comes of it.

This leads me to believing any of the following...

1) They're lazy and/or really don't care to monetize their traffic to begin with...
2) They may be too embarrassed (lack of a better word?) to admit they don't know how to install it themselves.
3) They have no idea what an API is in the first place.

If it's #2 or #3 we could offer them assistance in setting one up but that could turn into a huge allocation of time problem...

In other words, how many times are we going to gladly help out an affiliate and see a zero return on traffic? Or is that a risk as a company we have to be willing to take?

I guess it's like a sponsor giving out FHG's. That part is great... but should they also go out and make specific sized thumbs for affiliates that request 83x102 and another that needs 1000's thumbs all 66x133 thumbs as well?

Where do you draw the line? I could see both sides of the argument...
