It pretty much comes down to 2 things for him. Either he is cool with it and they go the swinger route and abide by mutual rules and understanding... which he doesn't sound cool with it so that likely wont work.
Or he really don't give a fuck about the girl, doesn't want a relationship with her and just fucks her when she is with him and could give a shit what she does on her own time. Which he sounds like he cares about her a lot so I don't think that is an option either.
So basically, he doesn't have any options. Cut bait man and run.

The high divorce rate has nothing to do with people under 25 getting married. It's people getting married too quick (hardly know each other) or for the wrong reasons (like getting pregnant) at any age. I know people who have been married and divorced 3-4 times in their lifetime and most if not all times they were older than 25 when it happened.
