Drama ensued, big fight between him and his girlfriend. I should of been punched but nothing happened, they left.

There was a guy I knew with exactly the same thing going on, he was in the UK and she was a prostitute in Thailand. They were meant to get married, but she always had an excuse to put it off. He was sending her the equivalent of $1000 a month to keep her from needing to work, but other friends would see her on the job when they went there. Our friend refused to believe.
Eventually he was giving her a lot more money each month, she always had an excuse, she wanted him to buy a house out there but it had to be in her name, she told him "it's against the law for foreigners to buy houses here". One day she delayed the wedding another year, then it woke him up, he realised what was going on, what everyone had been telling him. Overall it went on for around 8 years. He's very angry about it now and doesn't like to discuss it.
