My dad was shot in the arm by a drunk fucking around with a loaded rifle on a hunting trip once, pretty much blew his hand clear off his forearm. Had to spend a year getting shit pieced back together. The most of his forearm is made of metal now, and he has little feeling in his hand. Spent months with his hand stuck to his hip to graft skin and was loaded on demerol for ages to deal with the pain. During the winter months it gets sore in the cold. That entire hand is pretty much fucked for life.
