Before NWA, nearly every music artist (regardless of genre) was afraid to say shit in a lyric. For crying out loud, "I want your sex" by George Michael was considered "crazy" before NWA blew the shit up.

Chronic is still a class rap album and I've yet to be at a party that doesn't go crazy after the DJ starts playings hits from it.
