This was not Sequoia. Sequoia is Central California inland by the Sierra Nevada ( see
http://www.gotbaddog.com/photos-from...ational-parks/ ) Think of Sequoia as big trees in the mountains and the Redwoods as big trees by the coast.
Both locations are very well traveled and the Redwoods are along Hwy 101, so there are small towns scattered around. If you are renting a car from something like Hertz, Enterprise or Avis most likely it will be road worthy and there will be nothing to worry about.
