Those Israeli security guys live every day with Palestinians blowing themselves up. It isn't like it is here...a few insane Arabs do something crazy and we call it "terrorism"...over there it's a fact of life.
I can also tell you that when I travel to Europe...they don't do this kind of nonsense either. It's not as streamlined or efficient as Israel's security...but it's a helluva lot better than the bullshit we are going through at airports.
In my humble opinion, IF a crazy person wants to blow up a plane they will. None of this is going to stop them.
Further...when is the last time a U.S. plane was blown up? The Lockerbie Scotland plane back in the 1980's is the last one I can recall. And they didn't start groping passengers and set up all this security bullshit after that happened.
The difference this time is we had a knee jerk reaction as a nation because we have cable news showing us those towers coming down. It was horrific.
And ever since that happened, the govt. has been using that fear to take away our rights and our freedoms.
It was a handful of nutjobs. NOTHING ever stops a handful of crazy people or worse...a single crazy person.
This country needs high speed rail systems and eliminate the airlines for travel within the country. I'm sensing a real backlash is about to occur that is going to cripple the airline industry right at a time when the economy is so bad anyway.

The point about them looking the same is also true. But im saying you are dealing with an exact type of target that is coming into your country on Israels side.
Especially since America is considered a more of an open boarder economic system (imo). Israel can basically know who is coming in and out of their small border and from where much easier.
America is a much more multi cultural trafficked system.
Not to mention isnt every Israeli male supposed to enroll into the military at a certain point? So they would already have the highest group of suspected males catelogued fully on who is who.
You cant slow down a country like America to much. It ends up effecting the very core of its power. When you slow down the transport of people and things it effects your entire system.
Americans need to find a balance or need to find peace in the middle east. The Israelis were ready for this type of behavior since its very inception. They knew from the beginning they needed to expand for survival and knew by doing this what it would bring.
America is new age to this. You cant re program the way an entire nation thinks and feels. All it does is draw a government and people line. And eventually nothing gets done.
You cannot preach freedom then not live it to its full extent. You leave the people untrusting and less willing to be proactive within the system.
and i agree with your major point if someone wants to do it they can and will.
