Not a bad idea...You could probably use cookies to do this. Not a perfect solution, but it would work. However, it might piss off some of your more loyal people though, which 'might' spend more money in other ways.
Find a product/site related to your forum that totally rocks it... build up a little promo section for them, and blast an email out to your users through the forum software. Can't go wrong with emails, just be yourself, chat and don't spam.
On your confirmation page, put a fake upgrade your profile button for dating features, on click post the users data to the dating sites join form.
You can create a private forum, purchase super cheap content feeds, and charge cheap for access to the private forum.
