The Bartlesville, Oklahoma woman was asleep when her aunt came over to the house. The father was off at work. Fiddler's other two children were accounted for, but there was no sign of the 10-day old infant. The aunt did hear the washing machine rattling with what sounded like an unbalanced load. She went to lift the lid and discovered Fiddler had turned the machine into an impromptu coffin.
Fiddler was arrested on an outstanding failure to appear for possession warrant, which could explain the incident, or maybe severe postpartum depression is to blame. Regardless, her two other children have been taken by the Department of Human Services. After questioning, Fiddler was charged with second-degree manslaughter.
