Weren't democrats doing the same? Let's face it, political/ideological gerrymandering has been around for a long ass time and that's why there's so many "safe" seats in the Congress. If we really wanted a "marketplace of ideas" and an equal arena for public debate, districts would be drawn up impartially without looking like mutated salamanders on bad shrooms. Maybe that would yield better results as opposed to gridlock?
