Yes it is. Now of course your going to expect that this type of forum would have plenty more people saying yes than no, however I have actually had this debate at length, and not only do I believe it is morale, but it is also something that should be made legal. In a recent superior court case in ontario canada it was made more accomodating to sex trade workers and this has been met with several positive effects. One of these effects is that these women are now protected in their dealings, and if they require it can actually contact police without retribution for the act they were engaged in. Another, and the one the government likely cares more about, is that it provides a means to report the income, and pay taxes on it, without calling the audit hammer down on yourself.
Now on to whether or not it is moral. I don't believe it is a moral issue in the least. Sure some of your religeons and the religeons of others may impose strict guidelines against it, but as we have learned we cannot force our religeon on other people. Those people who are in the business of selling their body must have a reason for doing so, and so long as it does not cause an internal moral conflict, and so long as they enjoy doing it, the rest of the world shouldn't have a say. Hell they may even love the thrill of it, you don't know who is a nymphomaniac or not, many prostitutes in Canada are successful people who do it on the side not just for the money, but for the power that comes with it. To call prostitution immoral is akin to calling a football player immoral because he sells his body for money to play a game. These men and women in the prostitution business are simply selling their body for the pleasure of others, and for us to call it immoral is both hypocritical and based on an outdated belief system in which we impose our view on others.
