Wires are ok and I use them all the time. Checks are a huge pain to cash here in Sweden, $20 per check in fee + 2 weeks hold on the money, and I have to go to the bank.

paxum/paypal etc are good for receiving money from sponsors you only make ~100 a month or so from.
