The funny thing is if you look back to when your parents were middle aged, they complained about what "America had become" also. We complain about boys showing off their underwear in public; They complained about long hair and jeans. Back in the 1960s it was taboo to get knocked up without being married, and parents complained about the peoples.
At the same time life goes on. We buy houses, have kids, and go to work every day. Maybe we just feel the need to complain about something.
