I forgot the chicken. The local grocery store often puts chicken quarters on sale for less per pound than dog food. You should see the tricks the dogs will do for a nice juicy chicken quarter, all raw. bloody and ready to eat! They go APESHIT! Never give your dogs any kind of cooked bones though, as cooking the bones brittleizes them and bones like that could puncture the stomach or intestine.
I get the chicken from the meat market in the store done up in 5 lb bags for freezing.
