And what about all the regular clients who paid the nomal prices.
One week the content has been sold to perhaps 20 clients at $20 is then sold to 100 guys at $2 a set. But if they sold it to 20 at $20 they would not have to give it away this week. So maybe they did not piss of too many.
It is simple, if you have a decent portfolio you do not need to give it away. The content business is so steady it's incredible, it goes up or down on a monthly basis 10-20%. You can always push it a bit by doing a special but that's it.
But if you give it
ALL away you cann't go from offering the sets at $2 to $20 the next week. They are damaged goods, due to the number of sales done.
So you then have to reshoot an entire inverntory. For your information *these are averages* one fair-good girl turns up a week, you can shoot maximum 5 fair sets a day.
So a library of 700 sets featuring 20 fair girls will take 140 days to shoot and cost $9,500 to replace assuming you can shoot it at $500 a day which does not leave much for studio, equipment, staff, props, underwear, lighting, heating, electricity. A more realistic is $1,000 a day to produce a better quality product that means $19,000. Which is not much, but 140 days that's an awesome task.
But some people swear you can do it for less than $500. They just don't change any of the scenes a lot.
Our business is our portfolio selling it out week after week, we are not about to give it away for nothing.
