I generally use what these guys recommend: http://www.searchengineguide.com/sto...cture-sear.php

domain.com/category/pagename.html

If you have a shallow site with no cats, just use domain.com/pagename.html

If you use domain.com/pagename/ it implies that's a directory.

Make sure you also only have one version of your site in the eyes of google, a noob mistake I see even huge corps do, is have:

http://domain.com and:

http://www.domain.com

As stupid as it seems, they are seen by some search engines as different sites. Redirect the non www. to the www version. The home page should always be http://www.domain.com, not:

http://www.domain.com/index.html
http://domain.com
http://www.domain.com/default.aspx

Good luck
