It was only within the last few years that the age of consent in Canada climbed to 16 from 14. That's right, 14. It was legal for an adult to have sex with a 14 year old right up until 2008. Yes, you read that right.
Listen, I agree that it's predatory for a 37 year old man to be having sex with a 15 year old, a 17 year old, hell even a 20 year old. MOST often (read not always) men who go after girls that young do it because they don't get anywhere in their own age group. Yes most will say it's because girls are hottest in their early 20's, but really both men and women of that age group generally lack experience and are still in the formative years of their adult development.
So yes, it's predatory but come on. Right now an Adult, in Canada, can have sex with a 16 year old yet you're totally offended at the thought of sex with a 15 year old. Like that extra year somehow made a huge difference. Please.

Age of sexual consent climbs to 16
The Canadian Press, by Kimberley Shearon, April 30, 2008
OTTAWA ? Canada's age of sexual consent will be bumped up two years to 16 beginning Thursday.
The change means adults who have sex with boys or girls aged 14 and 15 years old could face criminal charges.
Canada's age of consent has been 14 since 1892.
The legislation was brought in by the Conservative government in part to deal with older internet predators who troll the web looking for younger victims.
Canada's age of consent will now be in line with other countries, such as Britain and Australia, and most American states
