The point is the media is turning this into a fucking show. If 40+ people or my kid dies in a car crash it would all be a matter of a brief one-day coverage. And the number of people's lives affected would be the same.
However, IF the wall fell on to these miners it would all be a tragedy way bigger that if they just died in an explosion the first day.
It's a show.

The media cannot possible cover every incident that happens. They have to pick and choose what's important or interesting. It's not about who's life means more than another's.
This story is about saving lives which looks to be a complete success. It's a much more compelling, feel good story than hearing the grisly details of how people lost their lives in a train wreck which would be disrespectful to dwell on.
I wasn't watching this with hope the tunnel would collapse, I want to see everyone saved. I'm amazed at the predicament they got in and the way they are being saved. It is interesting to watch and there is much to be learned.
I do not place any more value on there lives than I do the people that die every day in car accidents on the highway I commute on.
I wouldn't call this a "show " but it's really good " reality " TV
