i think my video card has a setting where it shows a picture and i just drag the thing across untill i think it looks best. or the adobe gamma loader does it for me, i dunno. i know flat screens tend to make everything look a lot lighter. you can fix this by making sure when there is a solid black object that it looks truly BLACK and not somewhat illuminescent.
