i download about a tb a month and usually every pilot that doesn't look too stupid. i watch tv torrents while im working which is about 12 hours a day. some of it i burn but most i delete after a few weeks.

as far as movies, my goal is to build a massive server with a dozen 2tb drives so all my movies are on demand. the pricing is still a little out of reach - even in Asia - but its getting down there.

funny thing, in Thailand, guys burn torrents to DVD and sell them at every market. costs about $3.
That's what we're doing here too. I've got 4tb at the moment of movies and TV available to all the computers, phones and TVs in the house.

I have DVDs that are about 10 years old now that still play no problem, but that's not really a worry as once I open them (if I open them) I don't really even use 'em.
