The Cop gave that kid a gift and he fucked it up. The parents are so stupid that when they used the phrase "lawsuit" the Cops/DA then moved to cover their own ass and booked the kid.

If the parents are smart they will sign off on any future suits and get the case dismissed. If not, the system will fuck over that kid and pin him with a 5 year sex offender registry. The crazy part is the 5 years registry will start when he turns 18 because he is now a minor.
