You think the cop is out of line? The cop wanted to SCARE the kid rather than CHARGE the kid. Where I am from, that is not an abuse of power, that is not wanting to fuck up the kids life, so you scare them straight.

So what should he have done? Handed the kid a camera and said "shoot it next time so we can sell it" Should have have high fived the kid? Should he have gone straigt to the station and had him arrested?

I don't know about all of you, but if that happened to my son, I would be thankful the cop didn't really arrest him and just wanted to scare him.
So the moral of this story according to all of you is "just throw the book at my kid and not try to scare or warn him" Alrighty then...welcome to Juvie Hall...the very best place for your kid...if you want them to grow up to be a criminal
