Would you walk out if it meant that you'd have to send your kids to war with them the next day to fight and possibly be killed by them or even you yourself go to war with them and possibly be killed? I mean REALLY had to go.
No you'd listen to the Doctor (yes, he's a doctor, a level of education I'm sure you'd never attain) and then you'd try diplomacy. Just because you don't agree with someone doesn't make them a nut bag. Not listening to someone and then going to war with them does.
