Taking as what you are saying as prima facia true... I continually wonder why, when the extremists are constantly "hijacking" the name of Christianity for their extremist views, why aren't there Pasters & Priests standing up to denounce and distance themselves from the far right wing? It's obvious that the whole world, (not just the US) connects the extremist conservatives types to Christianity, so why aren't the leaders of the moderate majority of Republicans and Christian leaders on TV, telling the world that the extremists are wrong and evil, and doing their best to help turn them in to the authorities?
