I think you're the one that's not getting it, business as usual is what's pissing off everyone and when it doesn't stop, the politicians will loose their jobs, people are finding out after what happened with the healthcare bill that the politicians are not the ones that write it, it's something that's got to change. When the GOP backs their incumbent and that incumbent looses in a primary to a Tea Party backed one, you don't see the significance of that, the GOP sees it and the democrats are finally seeing it, they should have seen it when Brown took office.
This kind of participacion could unhinge the power of the special interest groups if given the chance, when this many people get involved , it's a good thing

if they do not, they will be crushed & defeated publicly as an example.
