Likely far safer than holding a cell phone to your head.
Bluetooth is very low power - is why it's only usable upto around 30 or so feet away unlike a cell phone that can transmit upto several miles away.
If you're seeking something even safer than Bluetooth, then consider a FM wireless headset - not sure if they're still widely available, let alone even compatible with newer phones.
FM has some drawbacks, such as being easier to eavesdrop on than Bluetooth, but then as with most things, it's a tradeoff between usability and safety.
IMHO, Bluetooth is likely the way to go. Also, especially being you're be using it with a computer, there may be some hacks to reduce the Bluetooth tranmission power-level even further.
