I just checked google keyword tool and there are 3,000 global and 1600 local searches for the exact phrase hosting community with millions of queries for similar keywords (obviously). With some basic SEO you will be like this guy running webhostingcommunity.com who did barely any work and has prime listings. Competition is medium for this particular phrase but all the other keywords when you put in hosting community in google's keyword tool are in very high demand.
