Hi all,
Well we managed to complete our charity challenge on Saturday for the Care International Charity!.
At OT we entered two teams of 5 people per team into the event, and we all had to complete a 16k run (including a very hard 2k up a steep hill taking a bucket with 15kilos of stones in and returning them to the bottom) which had 3 challenges en-route, then the run was followed by a 12k mountain bike route, again quite hilly and nearly all offroad, then a 2k canoe, and finally finishing with another lap of the 12k bike route!! Each person in the team had to complete each part of the challenge, so the team was as quick as the slowest person!!
We were pleased with a very respectable 6th and 7th overall out of 13 teams, as well as my team (the oldies!) getting 2nd quickest overall in the run!
