I generally like North Face's stuff, and it's probably a good fleece, however, that doesn't mean anyone else needs to like it. It's functional piece fo clothing, not a fashionable one in my opinion. if he has no purpose for it, and he doesn't like it, too bad. Wear it yourself or give it to someone who does like it.
I agree with whoever said "i hate it when people buy me clothes". I've received tons of shit I don't like at all from people who figure they can change my look if they buy me something they think i should wear. Fuck off...
Anyhow, if the fate of your relationship is something you'd seriously consider over a sweater, ya you should probably just end it now and save the guy a lot of fucking headaches...
