In my opinion, you're one of the money laundry problem that affected epassporte versus VISA issue. No cent is trackable once it gets in the system, no tax paid an no hassle whatsoever. Even you're not located in Canada, US or Western Europe, you should've get an airplane ticket, go there, stay for couple of months, open a fucking bank account and transfer the money asap in a chequing account if you're clean and not afraid of anything. Quarter of a milion dollars worth the attention of any tax institution all over the world.
Keep a low profile and do not disclose your location to anyone.
