I'm assuming that if ePassporte and Visa can not work out their differences, that Visa can't just "eat" the money in the virtual visas. At that point I assume that the funds in question will be returned to ePass, and then to our epass "wallets".
These are my assumptions, and we all know what they say about assumptions... This is the most ridiculous cluster-fuck I've ever heard of, and if this isn't resolved quickly, the class-action lawsuits will be spectacular. In which case though, you can pretty much kiss your money goodbye...
