But regardless, there is something you need to understand. SVT created a car for tuners and racers, and put it out of the factory with much less power then it is capable of to keep insurance costs and other red tape down. Have you seen the gains simply by removing the air silencer? You have to respect 450rwhp for what little it costs to get there.

yeah, the ls1 is worth over 450hp without hardly any mods, and no computer changes. gm holds back quite a bit here. i don't think changing an airfilter will add 65rwhp, but then again maybe it's the most absolutely restrictive air filter on the planet.
