123flashchat scam?
I don't recall ever posting something of this nature on the board, so for me to actually reach the point where I feel I've been scammed it takes a lot.
I purchased 123flashchat about 4 days ago. Total spent was $500. Bought the admin module the next day, another $100. $600 spent with the intention of spending more on customization. It took about 72 hours to receive the license files for just the main install. I still haven't received the updated license file(s) for the admin module 48 hours later. But in any event, everything was running, no problem.
Issues came up with the software, so I contacted my sales rep. They directed me over to tech support via e-mail. Long story short, 4 e-mails later, 2 tickets later, no responses. I contacted them through their sales interface online, only to be told that I have to wait for "Lisa" in 9 hours. This is the excuse made every time that person has to get involved, about 3 times now. Today, suddenly the flashchat server stopped running. The error: "Invalid license key, failed to start."
Thankfully MojoHost isn't as unprofessional as this company, because their techs even tried figuring out if it was some randomness or strange error, or even server-side. They spent hours trying to figure out what the hell was going on. So basically at this point, I've contacted their sales rep again and requested that he e-mail me to verify e-mails from their domain were coming through just to be on the safe side. Sometimes e-mails are blocked, etc.
His response was "tech will reply you later". I asked him if it was definitely later, what time, etc. because I've got a baby on the way and time is money. So far, a total of about 5 days of work for this project lost, it being my primary project. What does he do? Sets his status to away so I can't type anything further in the help area.
So basically you spend $600 on software, only to be shoved to the side and ignored. For $600, with the intent on spending more, you'd think they would be a bit more attentive. Then again, maybe it's all just a front to steal money? Why else would the license suddenly stop working and their staff be unresponsive?
